Classified Senate updated its nomination process for Classified Employee of the Month
Classified Senate updated the nomination process for its Employee of the Month Award by adding these four questions that will enable the award鈥檚 selection committee to more thoroughly evaluate the nominees:
- Do you work directly with the employee? If so, in what capacity?
- Describe how the nominee displays excellence in their daily job performance.
- Describe the nominee鈥檚 key accomplishments from the past 12 months. Please give at least two examples.
- Is there anything else Classified Senate should know related to the nominee鈥檚 work at OHIO?
鈥淩ecognizing the work and accomplishments of OHIO鈥檚 classified staff members through Employee of the Month is one of my favorite parts of being on Classified Senate,鈥 said Dana Wright, Classified Senate and Employee of the Month Selection Committee member. 鈥淭his updated nomination form will enable us to learn about the role the nominee plays at OHIO, and to continue recognizing the outstanding work of classified employees.鈥
The non-bargaining Classified Employee of the Month award acknowledges those who are setting the standards for excellence at Ohio University. Recipients of the award have demonstrated exemplary performance in their job positions and a commitment to quality. Employee of the Month recipients make a positive impact on their departments and on the University community, ultimately creating a better experience for 天美传媒students.
鈥淚t is easy for us to get caught up in day-to-day work and not recognize the outstanding colleagues working right beside us,鈥 said Amanda Graham, Classified Senate chair. 鈥淐lassified Senate wants to recognize those employees and thank them for their dedication to the University. I am honored to be part of a group that works diligently to uplift and support one another.鈥
The Classified Employee of the Month was established in 1997 and any 天美传媒faculty, staff and students are eligible to submit a nomination. The nomination process for the Ohio University non-bargaining classified Employee of the Month Award has been updated with a new set of questions that will provide more context about the nominee鈥檚 work accomplishments.
