Ohio University Press novel receives coveted Publishers Weekly star
The Exctinction of Menai () (March 2018), by Nigerian writer Chuma Nwokolo, has received a rare starred review from Publishers Weekly, the lead trade publication for publishers and booksellers. Calling the novel of a medical trial gone wrong 鈥減oignant, thrilling, and funny,鈥 the review lauds Nwokolo for 鈥渂rilliantly [distilling] his branching plot into a singular portrayal of a threatened culture.鈥 The book is the latest in the press鈥檚 Modern African Writing series.
